 HOW TO COOK Chackoy




Chackoy is like fried doughnut that sprinkled is with sugar. It is fluffy and usually has  cheese fillings. You can usually buy and see this at the bakeries.

“NOW LET ME SHARE THE RECIPE OF CHAKOY”

  • 1 1/2 cups All Purpose flour
  • 3/4 tbsp yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup of Water
  • cooking oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cup of sugar (white)

PROCEDURES:

  • Get a mixing bowl add the all purpose flour, add pinch of salt and yeast then mix it.
  • Create a hole at the middle and pour the water then mix ( then upon mixing you will have a dough).
  • Put some olive oil in the bowl and put the dough then cover it with a cloth.
  • Let the dough rest for atleast 30 mins.
  • And when the dough already rises, push down and knead the dough.
  • Then you can already cut it and then mold it into an oval shape.
  • Let the oval shape dough rest again then cover it again with cloth.
  • Then you can already deep fry it with the hot oil (wait for it to change it color to golden brown then drain).
  • Then roll the cooked chakoy to the white sugar.
Finally you already have the delicious chakoy, best served with hot cocoa.
